The theory behind fluorocarbon leader is that it is harder to see underwater so you can use a heavier break strength. Most brands of fluorocarbon are very expensive. I found this brand that is affordable and added it to my web site.

WARNING: Fluoro is more brittle than nylon. When an Action Disc is used with fluoro it flexes the line thousands of times per hour, and the line will ultimately break. The solution is to move the disc location every half hour or so to change the flex point. User discretion is advised.
