Orange Variant, Vampire Leech [pair $5.49]
This color has three shades orange: bright orange tips, burnt orange and gray with a hint of orange. I prefer multi color leeches hoping to find a shade that triggers a strike. As is common with this fly series the fly turns darker when wet with a faint hue of the dyed color, orange in this case. This orange has that slimy disgusting leech look when wet, that trout find delicious.
Additional Info
The pair of #4 hooks are connected by a doubled 20# braid. The rear hook is attached by “loop to loop” connection that allows you to change out the rear hook if desired. The braid will accommodate a larger hook as well as a treble hook.
When trolled behind an Action Disc the fur lifts out and presents a larger profile. If you want a thinner look, skip the disc and fish it alone, with a small split shot ahead or troll behind a dodger. All of these will give a different presentation. Let the fish decide.
